Finally, he obtained an additional fellowship at the University of Southern California in anterior segment surgery, cornea & refractive surgery.ĭr. After a year of humanitarian service he completed fellowship in Ocular Inflammation & Immunology at the oldest, largest, and busiest eye hospital in North America: New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. He then embarked on a year-long humanitarian experience overseas in the ORBIS International flying eye hospital, which took him to innumerable countries to teach eye surgery to local surgeons in the developing world. At UW he also trained under the tutelage of one of the past presidents of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and one of the past presidents of the American Uveitis Society. Subsequently, he completed his residency training at the highest volume trauma center in the western USA, University of Washington, Seattle.

After completing his Undergraduate education at UCLA, he went to the highest ranked medical school in the western USA, UCSF. Sharifi is passionate in his pursuit of providing outstanding patient care that is marked by compassion and understanding.
